Black Cherry

Prunus serotina. A fast-growing, talll, attractive native tree with arching branches, glossy leaves that turn golden in the fall, drooping white blooms in spring, and small sour cherries that can be used for syrup or jelly. Blossoms attract many pollinators; birds and mammals feed on the fruit.
